The Words and Teachings of John the Baptist

I am John the Baptist, if you can hear it.  In the days of my trouble and misery, amid barren spring feasts and empty rituals, during pandemics viral and spiritual, in the year of the harlot 2020, the Spirit of THE LORD came to me.  After due admonishment, I was told to begin the mission to which I have been appointed, for a second, troubled time.

And as it was then, it is again now.  I have been sent forth to speak the Truth of God to the wayward, stubborn, self-centered, self-serving, disobedient and unfaithful people of THE LORD.  Once again, I am to warn them sternly to turn back to Him, and to do so this day, before the day is no more.  And once again, I have been charged with helping the few who do hear and heed the Truth, to prepare for His soon and glorious coming. 

Seriously.  It's True.  All of it.  It really is.

Just to be clear, by "THE LORD," I mean “God,” and by "God," I mean the God of the Bible.  By “Bible,” I mean any reasonably well translated version of the widely known collection of ancient documents called by that name, which claim to provide communication from the God Who Created the universe.  In the Bible, these documents are referred to as “the Scriptures."

And just to be sure, by “universe,” I mean the present, physical universe we human beings and our planet are physically part of.  Sorry.  I'm sure you know what I mean by "universe," but I’m not taking any chances. 

If it happens that you yourself are one of these disobedient “children" of THE LORD, that means not only have I been sent to the people of God collectively, I have also been sent to you personally.  So please do realize that.

But even if you aren’t one of these wayward "sheep,” you should still read along anyway.  You too need to “hear” what I have to “say,” for a number of different reasons.  So whoever you are, please do read on.

Yes yes, I know what this sounds like, and what you are undoubtedly thinking.  But if so, you are wrong.  Your reservations are entirely understandable, but you are nonetheless wrong.  For as I just “said,” what I just “said” is True.

I myself am but a troubled and simple man… simpler than most… sent to speak the simple Truth to you.  I am here to tell you the Truth, the whole Truth, and nothing but the Truth so help me God, including the Truth of God you need to know.  And if you are willing, I am also to guide you along on the path of Truth, which leads to the ultimate Truth in life.

And be assured... 100% assured... that if it is True that God EXISTS, then it can only be that Truth is the only Way to get there.  Indeed, just as the Scriptures “say,” the Way of Truth is the one and only Way of God.

Can you “see” why?  If God EXISTS… i.e. if there really and Truly, actually IS a “God of Creation”… then it can only be that what we human beings know as “Truth,” comes to us from God.   It can only be that Truth comes from God, because if there IS a God of Creation, then by definition, God Himself IS the Creator of Truth. 

Can you “see” that this is so?  If God Created the universe, He also Created the Truth of the universe…  i.e. all that is True in and of the present, physical universe, which we ourselves are presently in and part of.  That would include the Truth about everything that exists and happens in the universe, which would also include the Truth about you and your existence in this universe.

So if it is True that God EXISTS, that means Truth begins with God and proceeds from God.  And for that very reason, Truth also leads to God.  For Truth flows in both directions, through time and space.  That’s where we’re going on this website, Truth by Truth.  Come along if you so desire and choose.

Really.  You can do it.  All that is required, is that you seek to know the Truth, and you can “hear” the Truth when you encounter it.  If so, all  you have to do is correctly determine each Truth for yourself, and connect each Truth to the next.

It’s just like that simple child’s game of “connect the dots,” except this game is not a “game” at all.  Far from it.  To the contrary, it is altogether serious and of the utmost importance.  In Truth, it is of the ultimate importance… to you personally, in fact.  

And do note that if there IS a God of Creation, then all Truth is the Truth of God, in that it originates in Him and belongs to Him.  Note as well, that includes the Truth about God Himself, which, according to the Scriptures, He reveals to human beings by means of the universe itself, and specifically, through the Truth of the Scriptures.  That Truth in particular is what I have been sent to help you "see" and “hear” for yourself.  In the Bible, the Truth of the Scriptures is called, “the Word of God.”

Note these things or not, but the Truth is, for a second time, I have been sent ahead to speak on behalf of THE LORD, and to warn of His approach.  And as it was then, it is also the same now.  I have been told to tell you in no uncertain terms, that you are not ready for this eternity-changing event, and you had better get ready right now.  And I do mean now.

Just as then, I have been sent before THE LORD to inform you of what you are doing wrong, and what you need to be doing right in this regard, and, if necessary, to explain to you the difference between “right” and “wrong."  And just to be on the safe side, I will assume that it is. 

My message is the same too: "Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!"  By “repent,” I mean what the Bible means.  I mean: “change your mind,” “change your choice,” “change your direction,” “change your course.”  I mean: “Stop going in the direction you are going, turn around and go the other way”… the direction you are presently “going” being the wrong way, the right way being the Way of THE LORD.  To be sure, I mean: “all of the above.”

Once again but this time for the last time, I am to explain to you what you need to know and do, in order to be prepared for THE LORD's coming... i.e. His second coming... and assuming you belong to Him, His coming for you personally, in the likely event that it precedes your going to Him, in the customary manner.  In either event, what you need to do in order to be prepared to meet your Maker, is ever and always the same: "Make straight the Way of the LORD!"

And what I mean by that, is also what the Bible means by that.  I mean: "Straighten out what is crooked, unclean and cluttered, so He has a direct and proper path to where He is going"... which is not only to His rightful place in the world, but to you personally.  So I also mean: "Make His way to you straight, by making your ways straight"… i.e. in conformity with the Way of God, which is the Way of Truth.

The fact is, I have been sent to speak the Truth to you, and to lead you in the Way of Truth, to the ultimate Truth in life.  And, very importantly, I am to "show" you the Truth, in such a way as to allow you to “see” the Truth for yourself... should you desire to do so.

Believe what you will, but what I have just told you is True.  All of it.  So by all means, “hear” the Truth if you are able and seek to do so.   “See” the Truth if you so desire, and follow the Truth if you so choose. 

At present, I am working on the Gospel "page" for this website, posting it as I go.  Unfortunately, however, this work is proving difficult for a number of reasons… despite the fact that there is nothing at all “difficult” about the Gospel itself.

The main problems have to do with me personally.  You can read about a few of these, by clicking on the button at the top that says: "About John 1"... but only if you want to, of course.  On that "page," you will find everything you need to know about "me personally," along with a few things you need to know about "you personally."

If you are going to read this website, you really should start with the Gospel, because that's the most important Truth of all, and the starting point of the Truth of God you need to know.   But if there is any doubt in your mind that "you" are a spiritual being... i.e. consisting of both a physical body and an immaterial soul... then you should probably read the "about John" page(s) first.  It will surely be a challenge, but among other things, that’s where we get that matter straightened out… or so I  hope. 

That "page" turned into two pages... i.e. "about John 1" and "about John 2"... due to its enormous length.  And owing to my numerous personal and mission-related problems, I struggled for many months to finish that page(s). 

Also be advised that if you do continue on, you will very likely find what I write difficult to read and even more difficult to "listen" to, but not because there is anything difficult or complicated about it.  There isn't.  Among other reasons, it's because I am a very poor writer, to say the least... the very least.

I should probably mention as well, that as human beings go, I am also a bit "slow"... in more ways than two.  So if you do read on, you will also have to deal with that. 

On the "page" for my messages... where I hope to begin "speaking" soon... I left a brief comment on the current pandemics.  You are free to read that too, but again, only if you want to.

As a matter of fact, that goes for everything on this website.  Everything about it is strictly voluntary on your part, nothing about it is obligatory.  You are "not under compulsion" in any way at all... at least not from me.

Incidentally, that was for the record, and you can quote me on it.  In fact, please do.  And should you decide to read further, keep this very important fact in mind, and don't let it slip your mind at any time, as you read.  For nothing I "say" to you will do you any good, if you don't want to "hear" it.

Indeed, the simple fact is, in order to know the Truth, one must seek to know the Truth.  That's simple enough, but it's something only you can do, and something you must do for yourself.  No one can do it for you or on your behalf.  So by all means, do as you choose.

For the record as well,  I am hereby crying out to "you personally" to come along on this journey of Truth along the path of Truth, which, to be sure, you really should do.  But as I have already said more than once now, do as you will.  The choice is yours and yours alone.  So by all means, seek the Truth or don’t, and do as you choose for yourself. 

Truly.  God or no God, you are entirely free to choose for yourself whether or not to read on.  And choose you surely will., between those two alternatives.  "Of your own free will," I might add.

An Important Note: Assuming you do choose to explore this "path" further, always start by looking at what comes in the last paragraph of this "home" page (not counting the copyright notices at the bottom).  Do this each time you come back on the website, assuming you do.  In that final paragraph, you will find out when I last added something, and what it was/is.

Much to my dismay, it has now suddenly become the autumn of 2021...  pandemics still going strong.  But finally, I have finished the "about John" page(s), and the first part of the Gospel page as well.  I hope to complete that "page" in the very near future… really hope, because I am running really behind schedule, and the clock is ticking.  Meanwhile, the most important part... i.e. the Gospel itself... is now there for you to read.  So by all means, please do.

And now, it is "Thanksgiving Day" 2021, ground shaking beneath our feet… i.e. personal, social, religious, economic, political and governmental relationships at home and abroad rapidly crumbling amid worsening pandemics, not to mention the rapid deterioration of our environment and overall quality of life.   Or hadn't you noticed that?  I'm sure you must have.  Even a blind man can “see” that God or no God, life on the earth as we know it is racing toward a conclusion… by way of self-destruction, I might add.  In any event, I have just added two new sections to the Gospel page.  They are: “The Gospel in the Words of Scripture” and “The Reason for the Gospel.”  Make that, “three new sections,” the third one being: “A Brief Review.”  Do take that one personally. 

Could it be?  It is now the week before "Christmas" 2021, Corona virus making its way through the alphabet.  And it just might be that at long last, I have finally finished the “Gospel page.” I’m not sure there isn't more to come, but at the moment, I can’t think of anything else to say… which is highly unusual for me.  In any event, I have just rewritten the Gospel page yet again, and added in an additional chapter called, “The Truth of the Gospel,” which I put in before the “brief review” at the end.  Whoever you are and whatever you believe, please do read that page.

It is now “Easter” again, this time, the 2022 version.  Since “Christmas,” I have been tweaking parts of the website here and there, while readying myself to begin “speaking” on the page called, “The Messages of John.”  But in the process, I have come to feel that I shouldn’t leave the Gospel page, where I did.   So I have added one more “section,” which I am calling, “From Spiritual Birth to Heaven”… just in case I run out of time.

Wow.  It took me to the end of the summer to write that “one more section.”  And wouldn’t you know it, “From Spiritual Birth to Heaven” turned into “Spiritual Birth,” followed by “Salvation and Eternal Life, Part two,” which led to “Sanctification and Spiritual Growth,” and ended with “Faith and Works.”  But this time, I really do think it’s done.  So maybe now, I can get on with my mission.  Maybe.

Now it’s the end of summer 2022, and after supposedly “proofreading”  my “finished” Gospel Page… for the umpteenth time… it just occurred to me that I should have put a table of contents at the start of the “About John” page(s).  Unfortunately, I didn’t know what the contents were until I wrote them, and now that I have, there is nowhere at the beginning to put them… i.e. a “table of contents.”   I already ran out of text boxes on the “About John 1” page, so I can’t add another text box to that page at all, let alone before text box 1.  So I put it at the end of the “About John 2” page, where I could still add a text box.  Personally, I don’t think it’s necessary to have a table of contents at all, but I wouldn’t want to get in trouble for not having one.  I’m in enough trouble as it is.

Today being Easter Sunday 2023, I have just realized that it would be extremely unwise to wait any longer than the three year mark, to stop my incessant rewriting of what I have already written, and resume my work.  And this despite the fact that on top of everything else I have been dealing with, I have now encountered two new problems, while already down, out and hanging on by a fingernail.  The first has been an unexpected bout with a nasty and aggressive form of late-stage cancer, complete with months of debilitating treatment.  It just sort of popped up out of the blue, there being no cancer on either side of my family.  Lucky me.  The second has been an unexpected bout with a nasty and aggressive, fully estranged only child.  And believe me when I tell you, the pain and suffering from the first come nowhere close to that of the second.  So, considering the fact that I was already told what to do, I was already prepared to do it three "Easters" back, and I am running badly behind schedule, I now think it to be extremely unwise to wait any longer to post my first official message, which I will strive to do a chapter at a time, in the very immediate future.

I can’t believe it is now autumn 2023, and I have done precious little productive since spring.  What can I say.  I have been caught up in several traps… more like snares… and I have just now gotten myself free, determined to not let that happen again.  I am really angry with myself, and I can only imagine how displeased THE LORD must be with me.  Actually, I don’t think I can.  But judging by the events of the last several months, not good would be an understatement.  Anyway, I am now back to work.  I just rewrote my first message altogether, and I am committed to continuing it promptly and regularly, as the time grows ever shorter.  If you would be so inclined, please pray that THE LORD give me the strength to do it, and get it done in the time allotted.
