The First Message of John - Summer, 2023
I am John the Baptist, if you can hear it. For a second time, I have been sent forth by THE LORD to speak to His wayward people and whoever else will listen, in the last moments before He appears. To be specific, I speak of the long-awaited return of THE LORD Jesus Christ, as foretold in the Scriptures.
Just as it was the first time, it is given to me to alert you to the second coming of THE LORD now at hand, for which in all likelihood you are thoroughly unprepared, and in all probability, woefully unprepared. I am also here to tell you what’s wrong in the household of God today, and what you yourself need to do about it in a hurry, if you are to be ready for this history and eternity-changing event.
Yes I know. Two paragraphs, and you have already concluded that this is just another ridiculous hoax, or that I’m just another ridiculous kook… or worse. But if that’s what you think, you are wrong. Entirely wrong.
This is also not a spoof or a scam of any kind. What I just said is True, and I will prove it to you by means of the Truth. The Truth is the Truth, ever and always. But when it comes to the Truth I speak to you, it is for you to determine for yourself whether not it is.
The question is, will you make this determination of Truth correctly? Personally, I doubt it. I seriously doubt it. Nevertheless, I will do what I can to help you see the Truth you need to know, because, as I just said, that’s what I have been sent to do… again.
If you are to make the correct determinations of Truth in this vitally important matter, then you are going to need some more information to go on… which means you will have to read further, in order to acquire the needed information you are presently lacking. And the reason is simple. One cannot determine the Truth of things unknown.
Can you see that this is so? Or do you need some help with that? Perhaps I should explain it to you in a simpler way, just in case you don’t know what you’re thinking… which you probably don’t.
If you are unaware of something, you don’t even know that it’s there… i.e. that it exists, that there is anything to know anything about. Therefore, whatsoever Truth might be found there is 100% unavailable to you. It is completely inaccessible to you in any way, by any means, at any time.
Realize this clearly now. If you are unaware of something… like, for example, the Truth of God you need to know but don't… you cannot know it, and so, you do not know it, nor can you do anything about it. Got it? Good. If you weren't before, you are now clearly aware of it.
You do understand that, don’t you? Hard to imagine how many millions of things we are all unaware of, but two things are for sure. As the recent explosion of human capabilities and collective knowledge continues to rapidly expand, the number of things we are unaware of rapidly expands along with it, and life keeps getting more and more complicated, difficult and foreboding by the day. Wouldn’t you say?
No, don't answer that. I didn’t mean to get us off the track… which I have been known to occasionally do. Well, actually, more like frequently than occasionally.
As I was saying, if you are unaware of something, there is nothing you can know about it or do about it. On the other hand, if you are “aware” of something, then by definition, it is not “unknown” to you. You may know nothing about it, but you do, at least, know that it’s there… i.e. that it exists, that it is real, that it really and Truly, actually and factually is.
For example, all the things in the Bible you know are there to know, which you know you don’t know but really ought to know. What you do know, is that you have made less than a stellar effort in seeking to learn this Truth, even so much as to discover the Truth you need to know about the God you believe to have Created you… assuming you believe in God at all.
Imagine that. People who believe in an eternally EXISTING God they will soon join and be together with forever and ever and ever, yet they make precious little effort to find out more about Him and do anything noteworthy in preparing for this eternal state of coEXISTENCE with their Creator.
What could possibly account for such a thing? How could it be that a person who has come to know God, not then seek to know more of Him over time? Off the top of my head, I can think of three reasons: 1) a lack of faith, 2) a lack of faith, and 3) a lack of faith.
The Truth is, if you Truly believe in the God of the Bible, you would make a reasonable effort to at least seek to know the most basic and important teachings of the Bible, so you can make informed decisions about what to do about the Truth of God you have come to know. I would think that at the very least, you would make the minimal effort needed to do this, especially with me making it easy for you. Lengthy yes, but the least bit difficult, no. Not a bit.
But then, what do I know? All I can say, is that I know you don’t know what I know, and I would strongly advise you to find out what it is. Very strongly.
And speaking of reasonable, it would be fair to say that the extent to which you actually do devote yourself to learning of the God Who Created you, would be reasonably proportionate to your faith in His EXISTENCE. Personally, I think it to be more than fair to say, and more than fair to all… which God always IS.
And by the same token… the very same token… if you Truly believe in the imminent return of THE LORD, you would be doing little else other than doing everything you could possibly do to get yourself ready for it. Wouldn't you? Are you?
Don’t ask me and don’t tell me. That’s for you to say and for God to know. It is also for God to know and you to find out… which you surely will in the end.
To be equally sure, it is not for me to judge whether or not your faith in God is sufficient and acceptable to Him. It’s not for you to say either. You can judge the sufficiency of your own faith, but ultimately, it is God Himself Who IS the Judge of whose faith in Him is and is not sufficient and acceptable to Him.
Do you get it? If not, then get it now, before it is too late! When it comes to making the ultimate judgment between eternal Life and death, God alone does that, by which I mean He IS the one Who decides whether one’s faith in Jesus Christ is genuine and sufficient. And as surely as this God of Creation in the Bible really and Truly, actually and factually EXISTS, you can bet your eternal life that He will.
For if the Bible makes anything clear plain and simple, it is that God Himself and He alone judges the mind, heart, life and faith of men… i.e. humans each and every. And He alone decides who has genuinely trusted in Him in accordance with the Gospel, and who has not.
And believe me when I tell you, the Bible most definitely does say exactly that. Or don’t believe me if you don’t want to. That’s 100% up to you, a matter of your own free will and personal choice. Of course, if you know anything about the Bible and its teachings, you already know that it does say that. If not, stick around, and I’ll show you where.
And what's wrong or unfair about that? If you were God, would you want to spend eternity with someone who knows little if anything about you and makes no effort to learn about you? Well of course you wouldn't! Why would you? Why would you want to coEXIST forever with someone who doesn’t want to know you or have anything to do with you? I know I wouldn’t. I know you wouldn’t. I know God wouldn’t either.
So as I was saying, you cannot know the Truth of things you know nothing about. Now can you see that this is so? I certainly hope so, but the Truth is, it is so, whether you can see it or not. The Truth is ever and always the Truth, no matter what and come what may.
So if you want to know whether or not my claims are True… including that I speak the Truth at all times… then you are going to have to keep reading, in order to acquire the information you need to have, making the correct determinations of Truth as you go. If you do, you will be able to see for yourself that everything I say is not only True, but in accordance with the Truth of the Scriptures, which in the Scriptures is called, “the Word of God,” as IS THE LORD Jesus Christ Himself. I will do my best to help you do this, because, as I just said, that’s what I have been told to do… i.e. help you see the Truth you need to know, for your very own self.
And not to get off the subject again, but in case you haven’t noticed, this ability to discern and reason in Truth is what sets the human being apart from all other living creatures, God or no God and Darwin or no Darwin. Oops. Sorry. We can’t get into that just yet, so I guess I shouldn’t have brought it up. Those kinds of things will just have to wait until we get a little better at discerning and reasoning in Truth... assuming we’re still around to do it.
And I don’t mean to say that there aren’t other distinctions, as well. We humans also have self-awareness, the capacity of self-determination, and an ever-present awareness of the possibility of God’s EXISTENCE.
Ever given that any thought? In addition to the capacity to think, feel, decide and act independently… which is not exclusive to human beings… no other living creatures in, on or above this planet have these four unique and highly interconnected capabilities, and share in this way of life. Indeed, these aspects of our present existence are exclusive to human beings.
Perhaps I should list these unique aspects of human life together for you in one place, so you can clearly see them and interconnect them for yourself. Of all living creatures, human beings alone have:
An ever-present awareness of our own existence
An ever-present awareness of the possibility of God’s EXISTENCE
The ability to discern and reason in Truth
The capability of self-determination
Indeed, God or no God, we are Truly distinct and distinctly different from all other lifeforms. And that’s a fact, regardless of how the human race came to be.
So are you connecting all the dots so far? You do remember what we're doing, don't you? We're playing the childhood game of “connect the dots,” which I mentioned on the "home" page.
You do like games, don’t you? Okay, well, that's what we are going to do, all the way through. So picture it like that. The only difference, is that instead of dots, we are connecting Truths. The object of the game is to connect each and every individual Truth you need to know, so as to not leave any blank spots in your mind… like you have now.
If you don’t want to do this, fine with me. It is not at all fine with you, but to be sure, it's your call. So call it. Read on or don’t. It’s entirely up to you.
If you do want to make the correct determinations of Truth about the things I said in those first three paragraphs, then begin by noting well… very well… those words I underlined for emphasis in the fourth paragraph, and then explained in a few more words in the next few paragraphs to follow, the key words also underlined. Now notice the relationship between all of those key words I underlined for you, and see if you can see it… i.e. the Truth about the Truth.
Can you? Think hard now. The Truth about the Truth couldn’t be any simpler: What is True is real, and what is real is True!
Can you “see” it? If so, be clear about it. If you are, you should also be able to clearly see the formula for success in life, by which I definitely do not mean “worldly success”… i.e. being successful in the things of the world. I’m talking about your successful operation as a human being, your ability to function as an independent “person.” And if it is True that God EXISTS, your success in obtaining an eternal relationship with Him… which, if God really and Truly, actually and factually does EXIST, would be the most important thing in life by far. By very far. Would it not? Well of course it would!
What could be more important? Some people regard their family members to be the most important thing in the world to them. Perhaps you are one of these. But if it is True that God EXISTS, what could possibly be better for them, than for you to personally know the God Who Created them, and the more so the better? Well nothing could be, of course.
But God or no God, the math in the formula for living a successful and productive life as a human being is as simple as it gets. Here it is:
real = exists = is = True
This is the initial Truth you must be able to "see," if you are to discern and reason in Truth.
And this is where Truth is grounded in reality… i.e. that which exists and/or happens in the physical universe of our present, physical existence. In order to operate properly as a human being, one must clearly see this initial Truth about the Truth… as most people do early in childhood, without even realizing they have made the necessary connections.
So if you can “see” this initial, all-important Truth about the Truth, good for you! You’re good to go! And that should also keep you grounded in the relationship between Truth and reality as you “go"... i.e. through life. For it is on this connection between Truth and reality that your ability to think logically depends. Just make sure to keep your connection to reality firmly in place at all times, the whole way.
And if it is True that God EXISTS, Who would it be to bring about this relationship between Creator and created being? Obviously… I hope… no human being could ever in any way by any means do such a thing! Only God Himself could do such a thing!… just as the Scriptures “say.”
So do be clear on this too. Only God Himself can Create this personal relationship between His Spirit and the spirit of the human being. And only He alone can sustain it over time… which human beings have only so much of. And to be equally sure, only God and God alone can sustain such a relationship beyond the confines of one’s earthly life in the physical universe. That too is just plain and simple common sense, isn’t it? Well of course it is!
No human being has the capability of Creating or sustaining a relationship between the spirit of a human being and the Spirit of God! How would that be done? We could build a tower 50 million billion miles high, and we wouldn’t be an inch closer to getting ourselves to God, let alone bringing Him into a personal relationship with us, on our terms. Talk about usurping God's place!… which is nothing but a big fancy word for wanting to have authority over Him, rather than the other way around, as our Creator designed our relationship with Him to be.
This was tried once before, wasn’t it? Remember the ill-fated tower of Babel? How did it work out for them? Not so good huh?… to put it mildly. Of course they didn’t have the technology we have today, but even with the technology we have today, we can’t get any closer to heaven than they did. Not an inch.
And to be sure… absolutely positively 100% sure… if it is True that God EXISTS, then nothing in life could be greater or higher in importance than having a personal relationship with Him. As surely as God EXISTS, this is the most important thing in life by far… by very far. In fact, as far as the heavens are above the earth. Actually, much further than that! And that’s pretty darn far, don’t you think? Or don’t you think?
As the Scriptures also make clear, God brings about this relationship when and only when a person places his or her faith in Jesus Christ to receive it, in accordance with the Gospel of Scripture… i.e. what in the Bible is referred to as “the Gospel.” In other words, this eternal relationship with God is Created by God Himself, at the moment a person understands the Gospel correctly, determines that it is True, and then so relies upon Jesus Christ and Him alone, to be granted this personal relationship with Him, and continue to have it thereafter, during the remainder of his or her earthly life and beyond.
And if you yourself already have this eternal relationship with God, what would be the most important thing in life after that?… i.e. after coming to know THE LORD. There could be nothing in life more meaningful or desirable than knowing God better and having a closer relationship with Him, right? Well of course right!… especially since according to Scripture, this is a relationship that lasts forever!
And you can see that these are also the same thing, right? A closer relationship with God would be a better relationship with God, and a better relationship with God would be a closer relationship with God. And if you don’t know what I mean by “better and closer,” just think “deeper,” “stronger,” “more complete and intimate.”
According to those very same Scriptures, it is also God Who brings about the increasingly deeper, closer, stronger and in every other way better relationship with Him over time. No one else could do that either! That’s obvious enough, isn't it? I do hope so.
But what is so easy to miss… especially if the Scriptures are not read thoughtfully and sufficiently… is that 1) He does this when and only when those who have come to know Him are faithful and obedient to Him, and 2) He brings about this growing and improving relationship only to the extent that they are, in the real-life, real-world living of their lives, minute by minute and day by day.
So to be sure, after coming to know THE LORD, if it is possible to then know Him better and have a closer relationship with Him… which, according to Scripture, it most definitely is… there could be nothing better or more important in life than that! And I do mean nothing.
Do you “hear” what I’m saying? For those who have come to know THE LORD in Jesus Christ, nothing in life could be greater, higher, more meaningful, desirable or important than having a good and growing relationship with Him, becoming ever deeper, closer, stronger and in every other way better over time. Nothing whatsoever.
So according to Scripture, the God of the Bible Creates this eternal, spiritual relationship at the moment one trusts in Jesus Christ to be granted it by God, in accordance with the Gospel of the Bible. And it is also God alone Who brings about the growth and improvement in this interpersonal relationship between His eternal Spirit and the spirit of those who know Him in Jesus Christ, individual by individual.
To be sure, the Scriptures make it abundantly clear that it is God Himself and He alone Who brings about the spiritual growth of the human spirit in the Spirit of God, which results in this deepening and improving relationship that lasts forever. And it is equally clear that God brings about this spiritual growth, in response to the faithfulness and obedience of those who have come to know Him… i.e. when and only when their faith in Him is made real in their real lives in the real world, in their obedience to Him, as evidenced by the things they do and don’t do. So do be clear on this!
And do be clear on this too: according to Scripture, obedience to God is obedience to His Word, which IS THE LORD Jesus Christ Himself, as well as the Truth of God conveyed in very specific terms to human beings, by means of the written words of Scripture. Simply enough, the extent to which one is faithful and obedient to God’s Word after coming to know Him, is the extent to which He brings about that person’s spiritual growth, and with it, the further improvement in the relationship itself.
Just as clearly, the extent to which one is faithful and obedient to God is the extent to which that person conforms his or her life to the Word of God… i.e. to the Truth of the Scriptures and to Jesus Christ Himself. And the more we strive to do this, the more of Himself He reveals and imparts to us.
Surely you understand this simplest of Bible lessons! The children of God who obey their Heavenly Father are blessed in various ways, one of which is that they are rewarded for their obedience. Those who do not obey Him are not.
And how could it be otherwise? No good and loving father would fail to encourage his beloved child in this way, and no just and fair father would reward his children for their lack of obedience, let alone for their disobedience... which, in fact, are one and the same thing.
And very likely, the additional encouragement would be that the greater the child’s faithfulness, the greater the blessing and reward! Very likely. In fact, more than very likely.
And just a quick question. What reward could be greater for the children of God than a deeper, closer, more complete and intimate relationship with the God Who Created them? Well no reward could be greater, of course!
Make that two quick questions. What reward could be better? Would it be the reward we receive in our short earthly lives, or the reward we will have in our very long lives with God in heaven?… i.e. our very, very, very, very, very long lives in heaven.
Wait, I just thought of another one. Make that three quick questions. Considering the incomprehensible nature of the physical universe, Who might this God BE, Who IS able to bring a universe like ours into existence from nonexistence?
I mean, you do know what “Create” means, don’t you?… and why it begins with a capital “C?” We’re not talking about “creating” a fabulous dessert or an economic empire!… as the word “create” is used in daily life. We’re talking about the word “create” as it is used in the Bible. It means, “to cause things to exist, that did not exist before!”
Nothing in the universe can do that! Suck it in, mash it up, reformat it, and spit it out elsewhere maybe, but cause it to be when it didn't exist before, no way in the universe! Which is why, I trust you can “see,” the word “Create” is capitalized when used in that way on this website... that way being, “as this word is used in Scripture.”
The Truth is, if such a God EXISTS, it can only be that this God of Creation would BE entirely beyond our human comprehension, except that He provide us with the means of comprehending Him, at least in part.
Speaking of which, we might as well make it four. In the absence of a full knowledge of God, what human relationship would come the closest to allowing us to understand and personally experience what a relationship with God would be like? Think for a second before you read this next paragraph, and I’m sure the answer will come to you.
Did it? The closest we could come to knowing this ultimate relationship with God in our limited thinking and personal experience, would be found in the love known in the best of marriages… exactly as our eternal relationship with God is described in the Bible.
What better relationship could there be, than one in which we can know firsthand what it is to both love and be loved at the same time, in this best of all human relationships?... when it is what it should be.
And I’m not sure if this makes five, or it's still part of that fourth question, but for those who have not experienced the good in that best of human relationships during their earthly lives, what better way could we have to comprehend a relationship with God, than to know the love between loving parents and their children?… as our relationship with God is so constantly described in the Bible. This relationship too, allows us to know the highest form of love in two ways: the love of the parent for a child, and the love of children for their parents.
To be sure, the Scriptures make it abundantly clear that it is God Himself and He alone Who brings about the growth of the human spirit in the Spirit of God, which results in this deepening and improving relationship that lasts forever. And it is equally clear that He does this in response to the faithfulness and obedience of those who have come to know Him in Jesus Christ… i.e. when and only when their faith in Him is made real in their real lives in the real world, in their obedience to Him.
What could be any simpler?… not to mention any more fair to all. And what could be any more important?
So do be clear on this. According to Scripture, this is how obedience is rewarded by THE LORD… on the earth and forever after in heaven. Those who are obedient and faithful to God are rewarded, those who are not are not. And for those who are, the more faithful and obedient the greater the reward… now and later.
And as long as I’m asking questions, answer this. If you believe in a God of Creation, then you also believe yourself to have been Created for a reason... correct? There could perhaps be several, but if so, all reasons would combine together harmoniously, into an ultimate reason. Or do you believe in a God Who goes around Creating universes for no reason?
That doesn’t make much sense, does it? I sure hope it doesn’t. because if you are able to reason in Truth, you would know that it makes no sense at all. None.
I mean, surely you don’t believe you have been Created by God for no reason, right? Oh please say “right.” Surely you don’t believe that God had no reason for Creating you! You couldn’t possibly believe that you have been Created by God for no reason, could you? No. You couldn’t. Of course you couldn't. Tell me you couldn’t… please.
Because if you believe in a God Who Creates human beings for no reason, and that you yourself have been Created by God for no reason, then you surely don’t believe in the God of the Bible! In fact, you don’t know the first thing about the God of the Bible. And it’s simply not possible to believe in a God you know nothing about.
I’m sorry, it can’t be done! It’s simply not possible. Period. You might believe there to be some kind of impersonal “higher power,” but you surely don’t believe in the God made known and described in the Bible. And by the way, that was just an expression. I’m not actually sorry. The Truth is, there is nothing to be sorry about. That’s just the way it is. That’s the reality.
And if you believe in the God of the Bible, you also believe yourself to have an ultimate purpose… namely the purpose for which God Created you. Again, it is possible that some all-powerful being or force could Create things that have no purpose, but for equally certain, that would definitely not be the God revealed and explained in the Bible… any Bible.
So if it happens that you yourself are one who believes in the God of the Bible, that means you believe yourself to have been Created by God for a reason. And you also believe that you and your life on the earth have a God-given purpose. Right? Right. That's what it means.
So if you don’t mind me prying… actually, whether you do or not… perhaps you could tell me why God Created you? And while you’re at it, if I might be so bold as to ask.. which I just happen to be… what is the purpose of your life?
You do know the purpose of your life, don’t you? If not, I’ll give you a hint. The God-given purpose of your life directly corresponds to the reason He Created you.
So we’re back to that… i.e. the reason for your existence. You do know what it is, don’t you? If so, then by all means, tell me what it is… by which I mean tell yourself what it is. Why did God Create you? If you can’t fairly succinctly state the reason God Created you, it would be safe to say that you don’t know what it is, right? Right… very safe to say.
I might also point out, that it would be pretty hard to be a faithful and obedient “child” of God, if you don’t even know why your "Heavenly Father" created you! And it would be harder still to be faithful and obedient to Him, if you don’t know the purpose of your life… i.e. the life you continue to live on the earth, minute by minute and day by day.
Right? Of course right! How could you possibly comply with or in any way contribute to the realization of God's purpose in your life, if you don't even know what it is? You couldn't... in any way.
So what is it then? What is the purpose for which God Created you?
Need another hint? Assuming for the moment that there IS, indeed, one True, ever-existing, all-powerful and perfect “God of Creation”… as the Bible so clearly and emphatically asserts over and over again from cover to cover… what would be the one thing this God could possibly want or need, that He couldn’t Create for Himself, by Himself, and without the need to Create anything else?… like, for example, this universe, and all things within it.
I will do my best to help you be clear and certain about the reason and purpose of your life, in which the meaning of your life is to be found… you know, “the meaning of life,” which those who don’t know God… and most of those who do… are so unsure and confused about? You know the type. They are forever wondering and mumbling the tired old question, “What is life?
In fact, for fear of running out of time, I’d better just tell you the ultimate answers now, and spell it all out for you, without further delay. Yes. I’m sure that’s what I should do. So allow me to cut to the chase. Well, actually, I’m going to do it anyway, whether you allow me to or not.
According to Scripture… and thus, according to the God of the Scriptures… the purpose of your life is two-fold. It is to come to know the God who Created you, and after coming to know Him, to become as close as you can possibly be to the person God wants you to be… i.e. the person with whom He wants to spend eternity (which is the reason He Created you).
And who might this person be? For the sake of simplicity, just think: Jesus Christ. Please do, and take as much time as you need. Just hurry up about it. Then, after you're finished thinking about it, be certain about it, note it carefully... really carefully... and keep it in mind at all times.
And as long as you're noting things, note this too: In all you read on this website, you will find the word “Truth” capitalized in all its forms at all times. You will also find other capital letters where they don’t belong, as well. By “don’t belong,” I mean “according to the rules of proper writing”… which I have trouble following anyway. Perhaps you will make the connections for yourself as we go along, and realize why they do belong.
If you read on and think carefully, you may or may not be able to hear the Truth in everything I say, especially early on, but you will find yourself unable to determine with any degree of certainty, that anything I say is untrue. And to be sure, you will be unable to disprove anything I say to you at any time in any way, by any reliable means of verification.
If you stay with it, you will eventually come to realize that everything I say holds together and harmonizes, everything agrees with everything else, everything conforms to the words and teachings of Scripture, and with everything that is real and actual in the physical universe… which things can be verified and proven to be True by means of physical evidence. And there is nothing at all difficult or complicated about doing this. All it takes is a little time, effort and careful thought.
Furthermore, you will see for yourself that most of the things I say are things that you yourself have already determined to be True, and that every Truth I state is connected to every other, agreeing with and connected to all that is True, in and of the very universe you yourself are a tiny part of… you yourself being a teeny tiny, infinitesimally small "dot" of a living organism, distinct from but similar to 8 or so billion others, living on a gigantic spinning ball suspended in space at this very moment in time, which in reality is but a tiny speck of wet dust in a solar system billions and billions times billions of times larger, which is itself but a faint haze in a distant region of a swirling disk of matter, space and energy, trillions and trillions times trillions of times larger, said swirling galaxies scattered about in an ever-expanding physical universe of incomprehensible proportions. Now there’s a run-on sentence for you! And only one set of dots in the whole thing!
But don’t let my writing difficulties distract you. Zero in on ground zero, ground zero being you, a very real human being, living on the very real planet earth at this very moment, in and part of the very real physical universe. Of this you can be 100% certain, because it is a physical reality.
And you yourself know this to be True, do you not? Well of course you do! You yourself are a physical reality, composed of the very same physical substances and forces as exist elsewhere in the physical universe, which you yourself are physically part of. You know, stuff like, iron, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, and all those other physical substances on that table of the “elements” of the physical universe, posted on the walls of science classrooms. This is what we are, and you know it. And don’t forget that “are” is just another form of the word “is.”
Really. This is the reality of your present existence, and at the very same time, the Truth about you personally. This is the initial connection between Truth and reality. As long as you maintain this connection with reality, and you correctly determine and reason in Truth, you will learn the Truth you need to know.
Really! All you have to do is invest the needed time and effort required to read what I write… perhaps a chapter each day or if you’re too busy or too lazy, even once a week… assuming there are weeks yet to go… which compared to the time you spend on and the less important things you do all day every day, is actually extremely little. If you do this, and if you seek to know the Truth with an open mind, this is exactly what will happen. You will "see" for yourself, the Truth you need to know.
So by all means, watch and see this for yourself. Or, if you would prefer, don’t. As I keep saying, it’s your life and your choice.
You have grasped the universal picture, haven’t you? You must admit, this whole “existence” thing is a pretty darn mind-boggling proposition. And like it or not, you yourself are a microscopic part of it, for what in the scheme of things, amounts to a brief, fleeting moment in time.
Kind of makes you feel small, doesn't it? If so, good! Hold onto that feeling. It will help you immensely, in your efforts to comprehend the incomprehensible God Who Created the whole shebang, however long in the past it was, and whether or not it went “bang” at the moment it came to be.
And also keep the reality of this universe in mind, when you contemplate the nature and power of this God Who Created the universe, revealed, described and explained in the Scriptures, in ways human beings are capable of understanding. It will really help with that too.
Think of this reality of the physical universe as “the Truth of the universe.” In other words, the sum total of everything True, about everything that exists and everything that happens in the physical universe.
Keeping in mind at all times who you are and Who God IS, will also help you better understand this “God of Creation” in the ways He makes Himself known, Who, according to the Bible, Created the present physical universe we ourselves are in and part of. But whatever you do, don't let it make you feel insignificant, or think that you don’t really matter! For according to that very same Bible, nothing could be further from the Truth.
Just remember, this is not a game at all. To the contrary… all the way to the contrary, as far to the opposite extreme as anything could be…. this is serious business. As serious as it gets.
Nevertheless, I will turn things into childhood games like this for you whenever possible. Hopefully, this will make it easier for you to follow along. And I am also going to go very slowly… really, really, really slowly… baby step by baby step. That's so you will be able to keep up, even if you are a really slow crawler.
So do you want to “play?” Well, actually, it doesn’t matter whether you do or not, for win or loose, play you shall! You have no choice in the matter. Once you have been born… which I’m fairly sure you have been… you are part of the game, and you have no choice but to play it, until such time as you are no longer here to play it, whether by your own doing or otherwise.
The only choice you have in the matter, is whether or not to let me lead you and guide you in seeing for yourself, the Truth you need to know. And like it or not, it’s a choice you must make and surely will make, whether you want to or not.
Do you “hear” what I’m telling you? You either will read more or you won’t. The choice is up to you, but making the choice and carrying it out is not.
Some things in life are like that… i.e. we are forced to make choices and then carry them out, whether we like it or not, and whether we want to or not. This happens to be one of them.
And don’t tell me you’re not here either! You’re not getting off that easy! In fact, you’re not getting off at all. And the Truth is, you must be here, or you wouldn’t be on this do-it-yourself website, reading what I am writing to you.
And don’t blame me for it either! I didn’t Create the universe, I didn’t put you here, and I didn’t make the rules. If it’s any consolation, the rules have been in force right from the beginning, and they apply equally to every human being who ever has or ever will inhabit this gigantic tiny planet.

In addition to playing “connect the dots,” picture your life on this earth as a board game. The board itself is a picture, depicting a deep dark and foreboding forest, full of dark spots and dangerous turns, as well as hidden perils and tragedies of all kinds.
Now picture the pathway around and through the board, where the individual game pieces… one for each player… move along at the throw of the dice, which, like it or not, just keep throwing all kinds of unexpected things at you, good and bad. This passageway through the forest is “the path of Truth.” It winds and turns all over the board, from a set starting point to an eventual finish line, but never is the path broken or unlit.
And like all board games, the first player to cross the finish line wins! Except in this game, there is only one player: you. Yes “you.” You personally. The rest of the human race adds up to a very lot of individuals, but each, every and all are playing their own respective games in their own respective lives.
The game that is not a game at all, is your own personal existence as an individual human being and everything about it, past present and future. And in all Truth, the “game” of life is yours and yours alone to win or loose. Either way, the end of the game is coming soon enough, after which it will forever be “game over,” “no more game to play.”
Get the picture? Please do try hard to see “the big picture,” the whole of how the whole game is played. The path we are going to travel on this website is the path of Truth, which we will follow step by step through the deep dark forest of life, right to the God Who Created you. And as the Scriptures make clear, the path of Truth is the one and only Way to get there.
So do you want to come along on this little journey in the Way of Truth? If not, fine with me. Really. If you're not interested in knowing the Truth about yourself and the Truth of God you need to know, that’s just fine and dandy, as far as I'm concerned. It is not at all dandy for you, but it is, to be sure, your choice.
So make it! Read on or don’t. It’s your decision and your life, to do with as you please.
And in case you haven’t noticed, no one can keep you from doing as you please with yourself and your life. You alone have the capacity of your own self-determination... unless, of course, you are in solitary confinement under a twenty-four hour suicide watch, or otherwise externally restrained from doing what you want to do with yourself.
But even then, you yourself are in full control of your own mind and body. And it is for you and you alone to determine for yourself, not only the kind of person you will be, but who you will be, as an individual human being.
If it so happens that you want to discover and correctly understand the Truth you need to know during your days on the earth, like I said, I can definitely help you do that. And I will do my best to keep on helping you in the time that remains to us… which time grows shorter by the day.
So how about it? How about giving me a shot at it? Not just at accomplishing my mission, but at helping you put all the pieces to the puzzle together correctly, enabling you to “see” the whole picture?… i.e. to understand what you need to know about yourself, your existence in this universe, your life on this earth as a human being, and what, according to the Bible, comes after that.
Come on now, give it a try! You have already read this far, so why don’t you have a crack at it yourself?… i.e. at determining for yourself, that what I say about you and your life, me and my life, and most of all, God and His timeless EXISTENCE are True, and that everything I say squares with reality and with the Word of God… i.e. the Truth of the Scriptures.
If you’re not sure about it, then just make it a theory. Proceed as if it were True, and see if everything I say checks out… i.e. that it all adds up harmoniously, conforms to what is real and certain, and matches what is described and explained in the Bible, with no Truth of any kind in contradiction. If you'd like, think of this as, “the scientific method.” I myself think of it as, “common sense.”
It would help if you knew something about the Bible, but if you don’t, that might actually be better. For nowadays… the very last of the last days… the vast majority of people who know something about the Bible miss many of the most important of its teachings… which means that they are unaware of them and thus, cannot know them, and so, do not know them.
To make matters worse, they misunderstand most of what little they do know of the Bible’s teachings. So in most cases, the more they “know,” the worse off they are… in terms of correctly determining the Truth of the Scriptures, and thus, in knowing the Truth of God revealed therein.
Among people in general, the single biggest cause of not understanding the Bible is simply a failure to read the Bible. Those kinda go together, don’t they? I mean, if you don’t read it or hear it read, you can’t very well know what it says, now can you?
And needless to say… no, probably not… if you don’t know what the Bible says, you don’t know what the Bible teaches, and if you don’t know what the Bile teaches, you can’t very well do anything about what the Bible says and teaches. Right? Of course right! You can’t do anything about things you know nothing about!
So if you don’t know what the Bible “says,” then you cannot and therefore do not know what the Bible teaches. And if you don’t know what the Bible says and teaches, you can’t obey the Bible, follow the Bible, teach the Bible, live by the Bible, or anything else by the Bible! The fact is, if you don’t know what the Bible says and teaches, you can’t do anything by the Bible at all.
You do understand these simple Truths, don’t you? If not, think harder! Pay attention and concentrate! But don’t overthink it either. That’s always a danger with extremely simple Truths like these.
And I’m sorry, but we are not taking one more step, until you have these simple Truths down pat. So one more time... if you don’t know what the Bible says through the written words of Scripture, which collectively make up the Bible, then you don’t know the Bible. If you don’t know what the Bible “says,” you cannot and therefore do not know what the Bible teaches, and if you don’t know what the Bible teaches, you can’t do anything at all in accordance with the Bible… except by accident.
And keep in mind as well, that it is only to the extent that you correctly understand the words of the Scriptures, that you know what the Bible says and teaches. And it is only to the extent that you know what the Bible teaches, that you can do whatever it is you propose to do by the Bible… assuming you do anything by the Bible at all.
Among those who do read the Bible, most don’t read nearly enough of it to loose that much of their unawareness. And remember, it is only to the extent that one correctly understands the Bible, that he or she knows what the Bible says and teaches. That’s also the extent to which people can do anything at all in accordance with the Bible… assuming they do anything at all.
And strangely enough, some people don't! They simply equate how well they know the Bible to how closely they follow it and live by it. Isn’t that silly? You can’t do it without knowing it, but you surely can know it and not do it! There’s plenty of that going around these days too… more than plenty.
For those who do read the Bible on a regular basis, the main problem with understanding the Scriptures correctly, is nothing more than careless reading and careless thinking... especially if what they read is prejudiced by the incorrect beliefs of others, which are in some cases passed down from generation to generation, and in others, century to century. Talk about a spiritual pandemic!
@ The Interpretation of Scripture
A major part of this mishandling of the Scriptures is a pronounced inability to tell the difference between literal and figurative language. This really baffles me, because we human beings use a combination of "literal" and "figurative" language on a constant basis, when we converse with one another in the course of our daily lives, and also in our thinking and reasoning.
The reason people use figurative language is to make the meaning of what they say more apparent, and easier for others to understand. In other words, when used and understood correctly, figurative language helps us convey and receive information more effectively and to a greater extent when we communicate with one another, usually by comparing one thing to another, often in a way we can visualize. And as the saying rightly goes, “a picture is worth a thousand words.”
That’s why you yourself use figurative language in your thinking, as well as in communicating with other people... whether you realize you are doing it or not. I do it too. In fact, I just did… i.e. in that board game analogy. And you may or may have realized that I myself was “speaking figuratively.” That’s because we all skate in and out of figurative language when we communicate with one another, often without even realizing we are doing it.
To a large extent, figurative language allows us to “see” the Truth as well as “hear” the Truth, which is conveyed by means of words used in their normal, customary, non-figurative manner… which I myself refer to as being “literal.” I don’t think that use of the word “literal” is technically correct, but there is no need to get technical with simple things... which is why I don’t. I use the word “literal” that way... i.e. in contrast to "figurative"... just for the sake of simplicity.
So why is the use of figurative language such a problem when it comes to correctly understanding the words and teachings of the Bible? One reason is a failure to realize that the original documents of Scripture were written in the everyday language of the people to whom they were originally written. That’s why they’re called “the originals”… i.e. “the original documents,” “the original manuscripts,” “the original readers,” “the original recipients,” and so on.
And just real quick, I should mention that "the original writers” of written documents are also called the “authors” of those documents… as in the sentence, “the authors of the original documents." That's what the word "author" means. And yes, I knew you knew that. I'm just making sure.
And since that really was really quick, I can really quickly add that if you take note of anything I say to you, note this. In seeking to correctly understand the Scriptures, we must bear in mind at every moment, that what we are after is the intended meaning of the author. Understand their intended meaning correctly, and your interpretation of Scripture is correct. If you don’t, it isn’t. And yes, it really is that simple.
God or no God, and no matter who those authors were, if you want to understand what they meant by what they wrote, you must correctly understand the words and grammar they used, which is to be found in the text of the document itself. In fact, the words and grammar they used are the documents of Scripture they wrote! That was quick enough, wasn’t it? I think so.
What the original documents of Scripture all have in common, is that every last one of them was written by another human being, who spoke the same language, lived at the same time in history, and generally speaking, in the same place on the globe as the original recipients… the place being the regions surrounding the eastern half of the Mediterranean Sea, and slightly beyond.
For the most part, the authors and original recipients of the individual documents of Scripture were in close proximity to one another, sharing not only in the culture of the wider region in which they lived in their respective times, but in the sociology and common characteristics of the people in the same geographical locality... be it a city, town, village or rural area. And so, their vocabulary and grammar… i.e. the words they used and the ways in which they used those words… are, for all intents and purposes, the same.
Now I ask you, how can anyone fail to realize that when reading and/or studying the Bible, one must understand the words and grammar of the Scriptures, as they were meant to be understood by the authors who wrote them? That baffles me too. The only answer I can come up with is: careless thinking… which would include not thinking about this at all.
And so, in order to understand the teachings of the Scriptures correctly, one must understand the words and grammar found in the Scriptures correctly… i.e. as the words and grammar were meant to be understood, by those who wrote them… those who wrote them being the human authors of the original documents of Scripture.
Unfortunately, these authors of the many different documents of Scripture are no longer alive and, therefore, no longer available to ask questions of, including what they meant by what they wrote. But fortunately, since the words and grammar they used in writing the original manuscripts were shared in common with the people who originally received them, the intended meaning of the authors is apparent from a normal, straight-forward reading of the documents themselves... in whatever language into which they may be translated, which for all intents and purposes is now every language spoken on the face of the earth.
We have already "talked" about the word "create," and for one of a hundred other examples of how the Scriptures are commonly misunderstood, take the word "church." In everyday life today, the word “church” is used in several different ways, giving this word several different possible meanings, when used in daily life, by the population at large.
Among English-speaking people living in the twenty-first century, buildings in which religious activities take place are called “churches,” the activities themselves are called “church,” and the word “church” is also used to describe any particular sect of the religion of “Christianity” as it is known to the world today… i.e. “The Catholic Church,” "The Orthodox Church,” “The Church of God,” “The Church of Christ,” the Episcopal, Presbyterian, Methodist or whatever else “church,” and so on… and on and on and on, and on and on and on. There surely are a bunch of them out there these days... to put it mildly.
But throughout the documents of Scripture written after the earthly life of Jesus Christ… together commonly referred to as, “The New Testament”… the word “church” means what it did to those who originally wrote and received the original documents of Scripture. Never once in Scripture is the word “church” ever used to refer to a building of any kind, and certainly not to a sect of the larger religion… commonly referred to as a “denomination,”
In fact, no such concepts were even known to people living in the last half of the first century A.D., during which years these documents were written. These and numerous other corruptions of the original religion brought forth by Jesus Christ were all yet to come… and, unfortunately, all to soon to come in the days to follow.
During the decades over which the New Testament documents were written and thus, throughout these documents, the word “church” has one and only one meaning. And that’s not because the words of the Bible are not used in different ways with different meanings in different passages of Scripture. They most definitely are. It’s because every writer of Scripture after the first coming of Christ used this key word in exactly the same way, when speaking about and/or recounting the events that occurred after the Gospel of Scripture came to be… immediately after the physical death of Jesus and surrounding events took place.
The way the authors of the New Testament writings used the word “church,” was in referring to the people of God... i.e. those who had trusted in Jesus Christ in accordance with the Gospel, and in so doing, been reconciled to God by God Himself. They are are often described in figurative language as being the “family” of God, the individuals themselves being referred to as the “children” of God, and as “brothers” and “sisters” of one another.
To be sure, all of this original writing and reading went on a very long time ago, and the ways in which people lived and spoke back then were very different from the ways in which people live and speak today. And so, I hope you see that when reading or studying a Bible… any Bible in any version of any language… one must be careful not to take the meaning of the words of Scripture to be the same as the meaning of those words, as they are used in everyday life today.
And to be equally sure, the writers and original recipients of the Scriptures used figurative language all the time when they spoke and wrote to one another, and for the very same reason that people everywhere have always done so, throughout the generations, centuries and millennia. Figurative language is regularly and constantly used by people to better convey the meaning of the things they say, and make what they say easier for others to understand.
But do be aware of the fact that the enhanced capabilities provided by the use of figurative language also have a downside, namely the greater potential of misunderstanding, particularly, as to what was meant to be taken “literally,” and what was meant to be taken figuratively. And here too, this potential of misinterpretation is greatly enhanced by insufficient and/or careless reading and thinking, not to mention, the misguided “help” of others, who pass along their own misinterpretations, however well meaning they might be.
I don’t want to chance this happening to us too, so as I continue to write, I will use mini-quotation marks… like ‘this’… when I use words and phrases figuratively, just to make sure you don’t get ‘tripped up’ on this. Then, once you get the hang of it, I’ll take them off. You know, like with the training wheels on your first bicycle. After that, I’ll 'throw them in' here and there now and then, just to remind you to be careful about this… so you don’t go back to getting yourself all confused again.
I do things like this to help you better ‘see’ and ‘hear’ the Truth for yourself, as I ‘speak’ to you. In this and in other ways, I will do all I can for you. Really. I will. Truly I will. But in the end… as well as the beginning and middle… it is for you and you alone to determine for yourself what is True and what is not. I think I’ve already said that a time or two, haven’t I?
So answer the question! Not for me, for yourself. Come on, let yourself ‘hear’ it (figuratively). Better yet, say it out loud in your own voice, and let yourself hear it with your own ears (literally)… i.e. the physical ears on either side of your physical head.
I ask you again: Can you do this, or can you not? Can you discern and connect the Truths in the information you encounter in life, and in so doing, use it to determine correctly what is True from what is not? I hope you can, and I hope you will. I also hope you will use a reasonable amount of care in doing it.
And that’s important! Really important! For in order to correctly determine what is True from what is not, a person must first correctly reason through the information he or she encounters, under the control of the Truth he or she already knows and is certain about. Only then can a person make correct determinations of Truth about new information, and in particular, matters one cannot be certain about… i.e. matters of faith… most of all, matters of faith regarding the words and teachings of the Bible.
The problem with that, of course, is that for the overwhelming majority of people who study and scrutinize the Scriptures today, the base of information they believe to be True and certain, on which they make their determinations of Truth are neither... thanks in no small part in most cases, to the well-meaning "help" of those who have taught them systems of false belief and practice, most passed down through generations, and in many cases, centuries. And nothing makes for incorrect determinations of Truth faster than a head full of false information, that all holds together and appears plausible. "Plausible" and True are two different 'things.' Very different 'things.'
Nevertheless, as I just ‘said,’ apart from correctly determining Truth, one cannot know the Truth… about anything. To me, that seems entirely too obvious to mention. But considering who I am 'talking' to, I thought I’d better mention it anyway… again.
Who am I to be 'talking' to you like this and asking you all these personal questions? I just told you who. And indeed, just as it was all those centuries ago, it is again now. I am ‘speaking’ to you, because I have been sent by THE LORD to assist those who are “spiritually challenged” in discerning the Truth of God… in all probability, you included.
And just as it was then, it is also again now. I am ‘the voice of one crying out in the wilderness.’ What am I ‘crying out’ about, you ask? Same thing as the last time: 'Hear' now the Truth of God, and ‘straighten yourself out!’… so you will have a 'straight path’ to THE LORD when your time comes, or alternately, 'make straight' the Way of THE LORD to you, should He arrive before you depart. That’s who I am… whether you can ‘hear’ it or not. So ‘hear’ it or don’t. They’re your ‘ears.’
If you don't like my attitude and demeanor, too bad. And if you think I have no right to talk to you this way and ask you these questions, and/or that I do not ‘speak’ for THE LORD, fine with me. For that matter, if you don’t believe in God, that’s fine with me too. It is definitely not fine with you, but as I keep ‘saying,’ it’s your life, and what you do with it is your choice.
So choose as you will. But if I were you, I would choose very carefully here… very very very carefully. But then, I’m not you. Only you are “you.” Surely you have at least figured that much out by now. Yes, you must have. No way could you have failed to notice that.
So if you have already determined that I am not ‘speaking’ the Truth, so be it. If so, then perhaps you are also one who has determined that the Bible does not ‘speak’ the Truth. In other words, you are a person who believes the Bible to be untrue and unreliable. If you have made the determination that the Bible is untrue and unreliable, then I can certainly understand why you would also determine that my words are not True and reliable. For as I am sure you must have noticed, I am ‘talking’ about things the Bible ‘talks’ about. Yes. You must have noticed that too.
So are you one who has determined that the Bible is untrue and unreliable? If so, you have plenty of company. For this is the belief of the great majority of the world’s current population, which majority is now increasing in number ever more rapidly with each passing day… in case you haven’t noticed that.
And if that wasn’t simple enough for you to understand, let me ‘say’ it another way: More and more people every day these days, are making the ultimate determination of Truth that there is no “God of Creation,” and that the Bible is nothing more than a collection of ancient records, stories and myths. I do hope “you yourself” aren’t one of them.
If, on the other hand… which in case you also haven’t noticed, is the only other hand you have… if you do believe the Bible to be True and reliable, then you believe that what the Bible ‘says’ and teaches is True and reliable… right? These two beliefs kinda go together too, don’t they? Indeed they do. So take your ‘pencil’ and connect them up! ‘Draw a line’ in your mind between these two ‘dots’… i.e. these two individual Truths.
And if you actually do believe both of these things to be True, good for you! You are correct on both counts. The Scriptures are True and reliable, which means that the words and teachings of the Scriptures are True and reliable. Conversely, if the words and teachings of Scripture are True and reliable, that means the Scriptures themselves are True and reliable. The math is pretty simple here too. Even I can do it, and I'm really bad at math.
Nevertheless, if you have determined that my words are untrue, then you yourself have made your determination about the Truth of my words incorrectly. As I 'said' earlier, in addition to other reasons, this is because you have made it without having all the information you need to know… especially from the Bible… in order to make this vitally important determination of Truth correctly. This is either because you are missing the Truth you are unaware of, and/or you are misunderstanding something about the Truth you know. Probably lots of both.
If this is you, then you too have plenty of company. For this faulty way of determining Truth is typical of the vast majority of people today who believe the Bible to be True and reliable. But you will have to excuse me for not congratulating you on being one of those.
In either case… whether you believe in the Truth and reliability of the Scriptures or not… if you are certain that I am not ‘speaking’ the Truth, then I’m here to tell you that you have a problem with making determinations of Truth in matters having to do with God. And when I 'say' “problem,” I don’t mean a bit of a problem. I don’t even mean the ‘whale’ of a problem. I mean a really serious, life-affecting and life-determining problem.
Fortunately for you, it just so happens that God has sent me to help you with your problem. The question is, will you or will you not take advantage of the really serious, life-affecting and life-determining opportunity your Creator is now giving you? To repeat myself yet again… which I do a lot… this is entirely up to you. But I am encouraged that you are at least still reading along, and hopefully, ‘listening’ to what I have to ‘say.’
How will I help, you ask? Allow me to explain. If you do not believe the Bible to be True and reliable, I will prove to you that it is… convincingly, and, in fact, scientifically. Alternately, if you already believe the Bible to be True and reliable, I will supply you with the information you are currently lacking, and I will 'straighten out' your misunderstandings, so you can correctly determine for yourself, the Truth of God you need to know, which you almost certainly do not know now.
And, I might add, given the confused and confusing days in which we live, it is also all but certain that you will not be able to find and figure out the needed information on your own, even if you try, which you will almost certainly not take the time and make the effort to do… all those other “more important” and/or "pressing" things consuming your time, not to mention your life. And please be advised… clearly advised… that no matter what you might think or feel about it, you and you alone are the one allowing this “too-busy-to-do-it” lifestyle to happen, not your circumstances or the people around you.
Like it or not, but this is why you need my help… whether you realize it or not, and, for that matter, whether you want it or not. Believe it or not and like it or not, but the Truth is, this is why God has raised me up again, this second and final time.
Primarily but by no means entirely, the information you need to know is found in the Bible itself. So primarily but by no means entirely, the information I will provide to you will come directly from the Scriptures. This is the information you need the most and must understand correctly and for yourself, if you are to know the Truth you need to know. And I'm sorry to 'say,' but at present, you almost certainly do not… at least not adequately.
That's why equipping you with the ability to correctly understand the Bible for yourself is an essential part of my mission from God. And as an added bonus, I will also, in the process, provide you with the information you need, in order to correctly determine from the Scriptures that I am ‘speaking’ the Truth at all times and in all that I ‘say.’
You do like those “added bonuses,” don’t you? Most people do, because they like to “get all they can get”… especially if it’s free. And indeed, the Truth I offer you on this website most definitely is free… monetarily speaking, that is.
There will be some cost to you, but you won’t have to ‘fork over’ any money, or part with any of your highly treasured possessions. So you can also ‘park’ your suspicions that this is just another devious, money-making scheme. It is not. Nothing you ‘hear’ from me will be untrue or the least bit devious or misleading, nor will it cost you a penny.
All I want from you, is that you ‘see’ the Truth for yourself, so you can make your most important of all determinations of Truth in life correctly. This will at least allow you to make informed decisions… and hopefully, the right choices… about your personal beliefs and practices, which, whatever they are, will determine the ‘path’ you follow in what remains of your earthly life. And all you have to ‘spend,’ is a little of that precious time and effort of yours… which you are so zealous in guarding and so stingy in doling out, for anything other than your own circumstantial gain, and your own comfort and pleasures.
So as I said, I will do what I can to help you. I will help you by supplying you with the information you are missing, and also, by 'straightening out' the information you already possess, but misunderstand. All you have to do is ‘listen’ and think carefully.
If you seek to know the Truth of God you need to know, which means that you actually do the seeking… in this case the reading... you will ‘see’ the Truth for yourself in all that I say to you, although as I ‘said,’ it might take you a while to do this in full. More importantly… much more importantly… you will ‘see’ and ‘hear’ for yourself, the Truth of the Scriptures you need to know, which you almost surely do not know now. And indeed, you will ‘see’ it with your own ‘eyes’ and ‘hear’ it with your own ‘ears’… ‘clear as a bell’ and ‘loud as a trumpet.’ Really. Seriously. Truly.
@ The Two-part Catch
There is a catch though. Isn’t there always? Life is like that, isn’t it? And to make matters even more challenging, it’s a two-part catch. In case you haven’t picked up on it yet, let me spell it out for you. In order to ‘see’ and ‘hear’ the Truth of God for yourself, you must have the ability to discern and reason in Truth, and you must also seek to know the Truth. Indeed, this is all you need, but you do need both.
And unfortunately, I can’t help you with either of these. For the ability to discern and reason in Truth is strictly between you and the God Who Created you. Seeking to know the Truth, on the other hand, is entirely up to you and you alone.
So seek the Truth or don’t. Do as you choose. And so you shall. You will surely choose and do one or the other, the evidence of your choice being the time and effort you do or do not expend in your real life in the real world doing the actual seeking, day by day by day.
If you want to know the Truth of God, you must be one who can discern and reason in Truth, and you must be one who seeks to know the Truth of God. And to be sure, being a seeker of Truth is not merely a sate of mind or a virtue you regard yourself as having. In other words, seeking to know the Truth is not something that happens only in your head or in your opinion of yourself. It requires some actual, real-life doing…. which in this case, means the necessary reading and thinking.
So that’s the two-part catch. It’s a bit of a ‘sticky wicket,’ but considering what it is that I am offering you, that’s not asking too much of you, is it? Of course it’s not. Considering what our Creator offers us, He always asks very little of us. Incredibly little, in fact. Something else you should know, is that what God asks of us is always and ever in our own best interests… every bit of it. So if we have, indeed, been “Created by God,” then His asking us to seek to know the Truth and follow it… especially the Truth about Him… really isn’t asking all that much of us, now is it? Of course it’s not.
Fair enough then? Of course it is. That’s the Way God does things… all things. Seeing as how you didn’t ask to be here in the first place… living your brief life in this physical universe… it’s way more than fair. You might even call it, “just.” If you don’t, you should, because that’s exactly what it is. God does all things this Way, because God IS just… perfectly just. The reason is simple: God IS perfect… absolutely, positively, 100% perfect, in every respect and in all that He does.
Unfortunately, very few people can ‘see’ these important Truths about God and, therefore, these personal attributes of God and how He works in His universe… even though they should be obvious to anyone who believes in a “God of Creation.” For if God EXISTS, then by definition, He is the Creator of all that exists in this universe, and thus, the one Who determines what exists and happens in His universe, as well as what is “right,” “good,” “just,” “fair,” and so on.
Have you not figured this out yet? If not, then maybe you don’t believe in a God of Creation at all. For if you don’t believe this, it can only be that you do not Truly believe in a God of Creation. Either that, or you have never stopped to consider the implications of your own beliefs about your Creator and your life in His creation.
These are the kinds of things I will help you to ‘see,’ but as I said, there is that sticky, two-part catch. Do you remember what it is, or did you forget already? Am I going too fast for you? If so, then go back to the beginning, start over, and this time, read slower, think more carefully, and remember what you have learned. I can’t do these things for you either. I can only do what God has sent me to do, to the extent that I am able to do it. The rest is up to you.
As you Bible readers might recall, I tried this once before, and it didn’t work out too well… especially for me. Then, right after me, The LORD Jesus Christ tried to do this, and it didn’t work out too well for Him either. Far worse, in fact. Remember? But then, in reality… by which I mean, “in Truth”… it worked out perfectly. So when I say, “it didn’t work out,” I simply mean, “as we human beings regard things as working out, from our present, earthbound perspective.”
The tragedy is… from our earthly, human perspective… how few of us have been able to ‘see’ these great and wondrous Truths of God, and take advantage of what our perfect Creator offers us. And the second tragedy, is how few of those who have done so, have taken the greater and more abundant advantage of it… which God also provides to us, and desires that we do.
These are exactly the kind of things that God has sent me to help you ‘see’ and do. But whether you will or not, is another matter… another matter entirely. For as I just ‘said,’ the ‘seeing’ part requires something from you and something from God in combination. The doing part requires something from you, and you alone… which you are free to do or not do.
I’ll tell you this up front though: If you do your part, God will do His part. For on this, He has given His Word. So in reality, what you believe and do about God is all up to you. That’s the way it is with the freewill of the human being… always.
Sound reasonable? Of course it is. In fact, it’s far more than “reasonable.” For if God EXISTS, then the Truth of God is the most important Truth in life, and you get it for free, just for the asking… by which I mean, “just for the seeking.”
Really. It doesn’t cost you one single penny. All you have to ‘spend’ is a little of your time and effort doing the seeking… which, admittedly, does require the right mindset, and the expenditure of the necessary time and effort on your part. In this case, it requires only the reading, ‘listening’ and reasoning involved.
Life is short, but with some exceptions… which our perfect Creator has covered… God has given us human beings plenty of time in which to find and correctly determine the Truth of God we need to know, and to then align ourselves with it. In other words, He has given us ample time to seek, find and ’see’ the Truth of God we need to know, and to then do what He requires us to do… all of which is for our own good.
And the Truth is, given the importance of the matter, it requires very little time and effort on our part. Amazingly little, in fact. What could be more reasonable than that?
So are you up to the challenge? Are you a seeker of Truth, and do you seek to know the Truth about God?… not to mention, the Truth about yourself, the life you live, and the world you live in. You know: “the meaning of life.” If so, then read on. If not, don’t. As I said, it’s ‘no skin off my nose.’
As I also just said… several times now… the choice is yours and yours alone. So too, by the way, are the consequences. And you might also want to keep in mind, that this may well be your last chance to ‘see’ the Truth of God you need to know, and align yourself with it… before your time is up.
This is the "placeholder" that has occupied this "page" for the last few years, while I was being prepared to 'speak"... i.e. before the message above was posted.

The essential Truth of what Jesus said about personal relationships between two or more individuals, is that it will only work... let alone work well... when each person puts the other person first. By, “puts the other person first” I mean, “puts the well-being of the other person before their own.” In the Bible, this is called “love.”
The word “love” means different things to different people these days, but in the Bible, “love” is clearly defined and fully explained throughout. The Scriptures explain in detail, that love is not only a mental/emotional “feeling,” it is also something one person does for another person, at cost to self. Surely you have heard some version of these words of Scripture:
For God so Loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal Life. [John 3:16]
According to Scripture as well, love comes from God. Obviously… I would hope… if we human beings have been “Created by God” as the Bible says, and we have the capacity to love one another, then it can only be that God IS the One Who gave us this capability. In other words, it can only be that what we human beings know and experience as "love" has come to us from God, in accordance with His will and design for our lives on the earth. Do you follow the Truth here? If that’s not simple enough, then read this:
We love because He first Loved us. [1 John 4:19}
The Bible also explains that love is something supremely good for both parties... which goodness and relationship can both grow deeper and better day by day, for as long as said love is sustained... making life better and better day by day, for all involved. If we humans would have just seen the Truth in the words and teachings of Jesus and followed it from the start, the world we know today would be something far better than any “utopia” we could possibly imagine. World peace you say? How about world love? There is peace in love anyway, but with love comes so much more.
And the Truth is, regardless of whether God EXISTS or not, whenever and wherever people choose to put themselves first… by which I mean, “put themselves ahead of others”... there will be nothing but worsening stress and strive among them, which will increasingly affect them adversely, along with everyone else around them. Sustained over time, troubles, conflicts and problems of all kinds will increase and spread, deepen and intensify.
Eventually, this self-serving way of life will engulf the entire planet... as it now has.
There can be only one end to this kind of me-first, human “civilization.” Ultimately, everyone everywhere will be doing what is right in their own eyes, living only for themselves and their own well-being and benefit, which comes at cost to others. You know, like what happens when hoarders race to the grocery store at the start of a covid pandemic, leaving behind empty shelves?
So just imagine if everyone in the world acted this way, and every grocery store in the world was left with barren shelves, thanks to the self-concerned, selfish efforts of those quick-thinking, early-bird hoarders. It would be nothing short of a spiritual pandemic! But then, what’s to imagine? Perhaps only what might happen next... when something worse than a corona virus comes round.
